Donald Trump Emerges as the Voice of Crypto in Politics

After years of struggling to find a political voice, the crypto industry has found a champion in Donald J. Trump. At the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, Trump announced a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve, promised to free Ross Ulbricht, and even formed his own DeFi project called World Liberty Financial. He says and does all the right things that crypto wants to hear, attracting millions in donations and support from loudmouthed culture warriors. However, there is concern about crypto's embrace of Trump, as he has a track record of being a fair-weather friend and may not share the principles that attracted many to the industry.
