BBS NYC: AI and Web3 Building a New Perspective for a Sustainable Future

Cointime Official

BBS.NYC is a grand event in the blockchain technology industry, held twice a year worldwide. On June 1, 2023, global blockchain experts, developers, and investors gathered in New York to exchange and discuss various topics, including zero-knowledge proofs, digital wallets, distributed science, DeFi, SocialFi, cryptocurrency payments, and the integration of Web3 and AI. Now, let's take a moment to look back at the scene.

In this event, experts focused on the importance of AI and Web3 in building a sustainable future. At the beginning, they emphasized the significance of accurate data and also discussed the challenges of large centralized ideas, such as high costs and functional choices.

Zero-knowledge proofs: In the discussion on privacy protection in blockchain, the guests shared the importance of zero-knowledge proofs in enhancing data security and protecting user privacy.

Digital wallets: The topic of how digital wallets can securely and efficiently manage cryptographic assets, as well as their role in promoting the adoption of cryptocurrencies, garnered significant attention.

Decentralized finance and social finance: The summit delved into how DeFi and SocialFi are reshaping the financial system and driving more equitable and transparent financial services.

Integration of Web3 and AI: Participants explored how to leverage AI technologies to strengthen Web3's smart contracts, identity verification, and data processing capabilities, laying the foundation for a more secure and scalable decentralized network.

In terms of community, there were 30-40k people in the community during the event, coming from various backgrounds. They were looking for accountability, ensuring blockchain transactions, documentation, self-repair, real-time data, and how to decode for access.

Additionally, Datuk Seri Eddie from Malaysia stated that Malaysia is becoming a center for Web 3. One advantage is the ease of entering different country markets since Malaysians can speak different languages. The strategic location is close to China and Taiwan. It has a low cost of living, abundant workforce, and friendly licensing regulations. Moreover, the costs are low (e.g., rental compared to Singapore), making it easy for businesses in Singapore to shift to Malaysia or even accept different investments from other countries.

At the BBS.NYC 2023 Summit, representatives from well-known enterprises and projects such as BitMart, OKX, CertiK, Alchemy Pay, Triangle, O1 Labs, Ava Labs, Celestia, Offchain Labs, Solana, Dcoreum, Payment Asia, Demonwar, and Chainge Games, as well as Caribbean government officials, top venture capital firms, and scholars, took the stage to share their experiences, insights, and project progress, providing participants with abundant learning resources and inspiration.

During the Demo Day segment of the summit, 13 highly anticipated projects were showcased under the joint hosting of multiple venture capital companies. These projects covered various areas, including Web3 food ordering applications, IP, games, DAO, AI, and more. Their impressive performances caught the attention of over 20 venture capital firms, with the combination and application of AI and Web3 undoubtedly becoming the focus of this exhibition.

Participants unanimously expressed that BBS.NYC 2023 provided them with a valuable opportunity to delve into the blockchain and AI fields, broadening their horizons and deepening their understanding of New York City's unique position and importance as a global hub for technological innovation.

The organizers of BBS.NYC stated that they will continue to expand the scale of the event, providing more platforms and opportunities for communication and collaboration within the industry. They also encourage participants to apply the knowledge and insights gained from this summit to their practical work and continue to monitor the development of AI and blockchain technologies.

In general, this event has provided an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of AI and Web3 in building a sustainable future. It has served as a platform for experts to share their insights and experiences, offering participants a chance to stay updated on the latest trends and challenges. This is a noteworthy field to pay attention to, as it holds the potential to create limitless possibilities.
