Amphi: Under Web3, language will no longer be a communication boundary

Amphi: A globalization driver for Web3 accessibility

Amphi is a Web3 intelligent language service trading platform, which aims to build an international standardized employment platform, and the team of Amphi believes that the future market will gradually become globalized, so the demand for internationalized talents will also become increasingly significant.

The global employment does not only refer to translators, but also requires translation-derived talents, such as translation + operation, translation + development, translation + design, translation + product, etc.

Therefore, Amphi was born, which is committed to improving efficiency for translation producers and reducing costs for demanders, so as to create a standardized translation trading platform to achieve the goal of stable income for translators and the demand for high-quality translation works.

Translation Business Process

1、Participating Roles

(1) Translator: responsible for translating the manuscript, and the format of the translated work needs to be the same as that of the source file to meet the customization requirements of the demand side;

(2) Checker: responsible for reviewing the translator's manuscript, and reviewing whether its translation content and file format meet the demand-side customization requirements. He/she can make changes for submission or call back according to his/her judgment, and if he/she calls back, he/she needs to attach the reasons for calling back and the attached explanation.

(3) Demand side: Review the proofreader/translator's manuscript to determine whether it meets the requirements, and if it does not, it can be sent back with the reasons and attached explanations for sending back. The deadline needs to be revised when calling back to give the proofreader/translator time to revise.

The three can be converted to each other in the whole ecosystem, though they can only be one role under the same task.

2. Order taking process

To use Amphi, users need to have an AmphiPass NFT (free AmphiPass NFT during airdrop). Registration is required for the first login, and translators will be asked to provide proof of language proficiency when registering. After registration is complete, users can start taking or sending orders.

A 30% deposit is required when the requesting party issues the order, and then the translator and proofreader will take the order and produce it. After the translation is completed, the proofreader will review it and after the proofreader passes, the translator will get 30% of the deposit pledged by the demander at the beginning, and the rest of the payment will be paid to the translator and proofreader only after the demander has approved the translation content of the proofreader.

If there is no feedback within seven days after the completion of the whole task, the task will be closed, after which the three parties can make a mutual evaluation, and if there is dissatisfaction with the quality, users can also initiate a proposal in the community.

In addition, considering the situation of multiple files of inconsistent size, when posting tasks users can also post custom tasks, and then multiple people will take the orders, the unit price of each person can be different, and the demand can also customize the amount of each file, which is easy to manage fairly.

Translation Types and Pricing

In addition to text translation, Amphi also supports video and interpretation services. For different types of translation, Amphi provides the following pricing references for demanders:

1Localization: Localized translation supports transnational translation in addition to translating the content by the target language country, and the cost will be slightly higher for the content translated directly by overseas personnel.

2Validation: the task that only requires verification, choosing this type means that the translated parts only need a node to complete, and this node can be a single person or multiple people collaborating to complete. After the completion of validation, it is directly submitted to the demand side, and there is no third party to review the process, and the cost is slightly lower than two nodes because only one node is needed.

3Machine translation post editing: for the manuscript after using machine translation on the demand side, two nodes of translator and verifier are needed to complete the process by default.

4Subtitling with screen words: making subtitles (including screen words), this translation type needs to consume more time to complete, so the cost is slightly higher.

5Subtitling without screen words: producing subtitles (without screen words), this translation type needs to consume less time to complete than producing screen words, and the cost is slightly lower than producing screen words in the case of the same video.

6InterpretingInterpreting, this type of translation can be done by multiple people or by a single person, and the payment is based on the hourly rate.

Benefit distribution and payment collection

1Distribution of benefits

(1) In general, two roles will be added to a translation by default, i.e. translator and verifier. The benefit distribution between the translator and the verifier is 60% and 40% (excluding the commission and platform fee of 10%).

(2) For excellent translators, you can customize the ratio of translator and verifier allocation, and of course, you can also meet the reward for excellent translators by issuing tasks that only require one role.

(3) For the trial translation of new translators, the task can be managed and accepted by issuing tasks with 0 amount.

(4) For tasks in which multiple translators and checkers collaborate, collaboration can be performed through a glossary.

2Payment collection

(1) If there are translators and verifiers, once the verifier approves the translator's manuscript, the translator will receive 30% of the bounty, and the rest of the fee will be transferred from the contract to the translator and verifier after the demander approves the verifier's manuscript.

(2) In the case of only one role, the translator will receive the bounty after the demander has approved the translator's manuscript.

(3) In the case of custom bounty, the translator and verifier can only receive the amount corresponding to the received task after the manuscript is approved by the demander.

Exception Handling

1、No one accepts the order

In the case that no one accepts the order, the system will first make a judgment automatically. Translator t-5 and verifier t-3 will be considered as aborted, and once aborted, a notification will be triggered to remind the demander to make changes and reissue the task.

2、The demander needs to abort the task in advance

For the ongoing task, the demander can close the operation. If there is no one to take the order when closing, there is no need to pay the fee, but if there is someone to take it, you need to pay the fee before closing.

3、Timeout without submission

Translators and checkers will be asked to pay a penalty if they fail to submit after the timeout. If they don't pay the penalty, the NFT they own will not be allowed to trade again during this period and they cannot perform new operations. However, they can continue to complete the tasks they have already taken.

4、The quality of the translator/checker's submission is below the standard line

There is no upper limit to the number of times you can call back, but both parties need to abide by the rule of completing the task within the deadline, and only by completing the task within the deadline can you successfully receive the bounty.

Conclusion

Amphi is essentially a language-derived standard employment platform built on the basis of Web3 + AI, and its advantage lies in the use of smart contracts to complete benefit distribution in a transparent and fair manner. At the same time, the design of Amphi's translation mechanism also makes it possible for demanders to obtain higher quality documents through the participation of multiple parties; people with translation skills can also obtain revenue in a more diversified way.

However, it must be mentioned that the current liquidity of the whole platform is still slightly lacking. According to the project, more measures will be taken to attract the inflow of users. Therefore, we can wait and see the development of Amphi.
