The Netherlands Tops European Crypto-Searches, Bitcoin Dominates as Most Popular Cryptocurrency

Dua Crypto's European Crypto Index revealed that the Netherlands is the most crypto-curious country among 46 European nations, based on the number of internet searches related to cryptocurrencies. Slovenia and Switzerland ranked second and third, respectively, while the UK ranked 11th.

The index also revealed Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency across 35 out of 46 countries in Europe. Dogecoin has secured the second spot as the most favored cryptocurrency in more than half of the European countries, while Shiba Inu closely follows as the third most favored. As a result, Ethereum now holds the fourth place in the list of most favored cryptocurrencies.

To establish the European Crypto Index, the research study analysed 40,512,430 Google search queries across Europe, with a particular focus on 191 significant keywords in the cryptocurrency domain.
