Salesforce Launches Web3 Platform for Sustainable and Secure NFT Management

Cointime Official

Customer relationship management (CRM) platform Salesforce reveals the limited general availability of its newest platform, Salesforce Web3, according to an official announcement.

The platform will enable companies to sustainably mint, manage, and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in a secure and trustworthy environment.

When explaining the rationale behind their decision, Salesforce cited potential risks to safety, privacy, and trust associated with NFT technology. According to a survey conducted by Salesforce, 59% of 935 respondents reported experiencing NFT fraud, such as phishing attempts using fake brand accounts. In their announcement, the firm stated that it was crucial for them to provide customers with a reliable and sustainable platform to operate NFT campaigns and programs.

Salesforce's Web3 product offers trust and sustainability by building trust features directly into the product through partnering with external experts, analyzing and flagging risks, and providing secure, authenticated NFT checkout experiences. The product also focuses on sustainability by only supporting energy-efficient blockchains, automating carbon emission calculations, and collaborating with Web3 sustainability leaders. The product aims to provide a trustworthy and sustainable platform for NFT management and sales.

  • Grayscale: Zcash Mining Profits 2-4 Times Higher than Bitcoin with Hashrate Growth Exceeding 2.5 Times This Year

According to Grayscale's research director Zach Pandl, Zcash mining profits have surged significantly due to the strong performance of ZEC prices. Data shows that the total daily miner rewards on the Bitcoin network are approximately $35 million, while for Zcash, it is about $2 million. However, the daily earnings per mining machine for Zcash are about twice that of Bitcoin, with earnings per megawatt-hour being approximately four times higher, even surpassing some AI/high-performance computing cloud services. The high profits have driven an increase in mining activities, with Zcash's total hashrate growing over 2.5 times this year, creating a virtuous cycle of 'rising coin prices → increased mining → enhanced network security → supporting coin prices.' The calculations are based on an electricity price of $0.05 per kilowatt-hour and the Bitmain Z15 Pro mining machine operating at full capacity, with data as of September 9.
