Cointime Official

Proof Collective, a Web3 project created by Digg co-founder Kevin Rose and the collective behind pixelated owl NFT project Moonbirds, has announced the launch of its new curatorial program, PROOF Curated.

The inaugural exhibition, "Evolving Pixels," is co-presented with Venus Over Manhattan and curated by Emily Xie, an NYC-based generative artist and engineer.

The exhibition features work from 10 top and emerging generative and AI artists, and marks the first partnership between PROOF and Art Blocks to deliver long-form generative artwork to the community.

The PROOF Curated: Evolving Pixels exhibition will run from April 12-24 at V over M in New York, and will include guided tours by Emily Xie. Minting for the associated NFTs will begin on April 12, with an exclusive minting window for PROOF Collective members, followed by Moonbird and Grails holders. Public minting will be made available if there is any remaining supply.

PROOF Curated: Evolving Pixels includes work from 10 top and emerging generative and AI artists. It also marks the first partnership between PROOF and @ArtBlocksEngine to deliver long-form generative artwork to our community.

Minting begins April 12. PROOF Collective will have an exclusive minting window, followed by Moonbird and Grails holders. Public minting will follow if supply remains. The live exhibition runs from April 12-24 at @V_over_M in New York and will include guided tours by @Emilyxxie

A programmer and computer artist born in Germany and currently living in NYC, @larswander writes programs to explore complexity in perception, generative patterns, and computational systems. Using only code to generate his artwork, he began publishing his pieces in 2020.

@NeuralBricolage is a visual artist and software engineer. While she has always worked with cutting-edge tech, her art was in watercolor and pastel and applied arts like fashion, food & drink styling, and photography until she discovered GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks).

Fusing poetry, art, code, AI, digital humanities, & web3 creativity to probe what it means to be human in a nearly posthuman era, @sashastiles is a first-generation Kalmyk-American widely recognized as a pioneer of generative literature & language art.

@fingacode is a UK-based artist and the very first Bright Moments Artist in Residence. His experimental project ‘translucent panes’ utilizes mathematical randomness as a basis for abstract generative art creation.

Exploring design concepts through code, @_juanrg92 is a generative artist who teaches creative coding at Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla and has worked and collaborated with different universities and cultural spaces in Latin America to address art, code, and technology.‍

@entangledothers is the shared studio practice of Feileacan McCormick (@entangledlight) and Sofia Crespo (@soficrespo91). Their work focuses on ecology, nature, and generative arts, with an emphasis on giving the more-than-human new forms a presence and life in digital space.

Creator of pixel art game, "Adventures of Kidd", @deanblacc is a London-based engineer, designer, and artist whose minimalist project, "Good Computer" is currently on Art Blocks Presents.

@ivonatau is an AI artist and researcher from Vilnius, Lithuania working with AI in visual arts to find and evoke emotions in the artificially intelligent tools. Her work lies at the intersection of art and photography with new technologies and machine learning.

  • CLARITY Act Draft: Ban on Stablecoin Yields for Holding Only

On March 24, according to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency industry practitioners on Monday saw the latest provisions regarding stablecoin yields in the revised version of the Senate's "Digital Asset Market Clarity Act" for the first time during a closed-door review meeting on Capitol Hill in Washington. The initial impression was that the relevant language was too narrow and lacked clarity. This new provision was released last Friday by Senators Angela Alsobrooks and Thom Tillis. According to a person familiar with the current draft, the new provision will prohibit earning yields solely from holding stablecoins, while restricting any practices that equate such programs with bank deposits, and imposing further limitations on other potentially permissible activities. The specific mechanism for determining activity-based stablecoin rewards remains unclear. This compromise stems from the lobbying battle between the crypto and banking industries. The banking industry insists that stablecoin rewards should not resemble interest-bearing bank deposits, arguing that such competing products could harm the banking sector and stifle lending. The final compromise allows for reward programs based on user stablecoin activities but prohibits balance-based rewards. This closed-door review aims to push the Senate Banking Committee to schedule a hearing, a significant step for the bill towards a full Senate vote. Similar versions of the "Clarity Act" have passed the House of Representatives in previous years, and another version has also passed the Senate Agriculture Committee's markup process. The bill's progress still faces other obstacles: all parties still need to reach an agreement on the DeFi regulatory framework, and Democrats are simultaneously insisting on including provisions that prohibit senior government officials from seeking personal gain from the cryptocurrency industry, a clause clearly targeting President Trump.
