MetaVersusWorld Successfully Raises US $2 Million Seed Funding Round

MetaVersusWorld, a web3 hyper-realistic and interactive, persistent virtual multiverse, announces the successful completion of US $2 million seed funding round which started earlier this year. The round saw participation from venture capital firms Alphabit Digital Currency Fund, Xeta Capital, Launchpool, Westridge Markets, NetZero Capital, XSquared Ventures, GBIC, Alpha Sigma Capital, and FBG Capital.

A portion of the funds have already been deployed in the Unreal Engine 5 development of the closed alpha product launch on Steam, set to take place in Q4 2022. Initially, the closed alpha gameplay will be available to alpha-testers, partners, and backers, with plans to open it to the public in the near future. The project has recently successfully integrated with Ready Player Me, the avatar platform for the metaverse that allows users to explore virtual worlds with one consistent identity.

The web3 technology and metaverse gaming company is looking to raise an additional US $3 million to further expand its platform and product suite, with a web3 IP marketplace for brands, additional virtual world offerings, and a more aggressive business development and marketing strategy.

MetaVersusWorld prides itself on offering a complete platform built for brands and their digital consumers, which benefits from hyper-realistic, virtual commerce, and social interactive experiences, powered by a circular economy. Brands can experiment entering the web3 scene via the company's Metaverse-as-a-Service offerings fit to serve every need, while digital consumers can play and explore loyalty programs and entertainment guarded by privacy by default in three open metaverse worlds (FashionVerse, WildWestCity, SkateVerse).

The team behind this counts over 20 full-time employees and collaborators, with backgrounds from PlayStation, Huawei, SaxoBank, NBA, Twitter, Upwork, ABC News, Garmin, and more.

Founded in 2021 on UnrealEngine 5, MetaVersusWorld is a Web3 technology and gaming company that builds hyper-realistic virtual worlds and experiences in the metaverse for brands and their consumers. A complete platform offering virtual commerce, gaming and an IP marketplace, the platform will be available as a downloadable client in Q4 2022 for early supporters, with plans to open it to the public in the near future.
