On October 12, Zelensky stated that Russia attacked Ukraine after Trump claimed that Russia and Ukraine agreed to an 'energy ceasefire.' It is clear that Putin does not check Truth Social. If Russia does not agree to the energy ceasefire, it will respond. The long-range strikes will not end unless Russia stops. Russia has violated Trump's energy ceasefire. Russia must demonstrate its agreement to the energy ceasefire.

Yixin Issues Apology: May Be Insolvent
On October 12, Yixin Group published an "Apology Letter to Clients of Fixed-Income-Like Products" on its subsidiaries Ruicheng and Yirenyouxuan App. Yixin Group stated that due to the contraction of its inclusive finance and wealth management business scale and poor earnings, it has decided to completely stop the redemption of fixed-income-like products by May 22, 2026, and will strive to fairly compensate all investors through orderly exit. However, due to significant losses in multiple business areas, coupled with low asset values in market-based disposals and a lack of effective funding sources, the fixed-income-like products have effectively defaulted, for which the company sincerely apologizes to its clients. The letter indicated that after halting the redemption of fixed-income-like products, Yixin Group systematically reviewed the status of various businesses and promptly commissioned third-party institutions to conduct asset verification and financial due diligence. Preliminary findings suggest that Yixin Group may be insolvent, with a significant debt gap. The underlying assets corresponding to the unpaid fixed-income-like products are of poor quality, and efforts to seek market-based overall disposal have been unsuccessful. Legal due diligence institutions stated that they could not independently investigate the compliance of fixed-income-like products based on the transaction channels and models provided by the group. Yixin Group stated that it will further clarify its asset and liability situation, continue to stabilize its lending and other licensed businesses, make every effort to accelerate the recovery of non-performing loans, expedite the disposal and monetization of valuable assets, and communicate sincerely with clients of fixed-income-like products to resolve risks in accordance with laws and regulations, aiming for fair compensation for investors. -
IMF Warns: AI May Have Disruptive Effects on Employment and Tax Systems
On October 12, IMF President Kristalina Georgieva warned that AI is having disruptive effects on the labor market and tax systems, and policymakers need to rethink the education system and take immediate action to help society adapt to these changes. Georgieva stated during her debut at the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok on Monday, "This is a slowly moving tsunami, but it is still a tsunami." In a session discussing the impact of AI on employment, she noted that AI has weakened demand for certain human workers by replacing a large number of repetitive, procedural jobs; at the same time, it is driving an increase in low-wage positions in industries such as construction, which she believes is "not something to celebrate." Georgieva indicated that this transformation will have profound implications for public finances, with the risk that AI may shift the economy from labor to capital, thereby undermining government tax revenues, as labor income has traditionally been a significant basis for taxation. -

10x Research: Bitcoin Options Prices at Five-Year Low, Investors Bullish but Hedging Risks
On October 12, 10x Research reported that Bitcoin options prices have fallen to a five-year low, with the near-term implied volatility at 33.5%, more than 4 percentage points lower than the actual volatility, indicating that options are relatively cheap. Over the past week, the skew of Bitcoin options has decreased by nearly 3 percentage points, with traders focusing on buying put options expiring in October with strike prices of $78,000 and $80,000, with single large trades reaching up to $204 million. 10x Research believes this indicates that investors overall still hold long positions while hedging downside risks through options, rather than fully turning bearish. In contrast, the signals from the Ethereum options market are different: its largest corporate buyer has indicated that it will stop buying in the coming weeks, with options trading primarily dominated by sellers of call options, and the implied volatility is higher than the actual volatility.
