On July 30, Nikkei Asia, citing sources, reported that SpaceX, the space exploration company owned by the world's richest man Elon Musk, is implementing strict measures to ensure its operations and supply chain remain unaffected by China, in order to protect the production of technology critical to U.S. national security. According to the report, SpaceX has dispatched teams to review existing and potential suppliers and has instructed its global supply chain partners not to assign or hire Chinese employees at facilities producing products for SpaceX, nor to use systems or equipment manufactured by Chinese companies.
