On August 7, according to CNBC, South Korean parents are intensifying efforts to lay the groundwork for long-term wealth accumulation for their children. Many infants, who have yet to learn to crawl out of their cribs, already have investment accounts opened by their parents. According to Future Asset Securities, South Korea's largest brokerage by market capitalization, the number of securities accounts held by infants under one year old surged by 200% year-on-year in June, reaching approximately 15,000 accounts. After excluding duplicate accounts, the number of new investment accounts for children under nine years old increased by nearly 60%, totaling about 185,000 accounts.
