asset tokenization company Securitize has announced the appointment of former PayPal digital assets legal head Jerome Roche as Chief Legal Officer, preparing the company for listing on Nasdaq through a SPAC under Cantor Fitzgerald.
The merger is expected to give Securitize a valuation of $1.25 billion and trade under the ticker SECZ. Securitize plans to tokenize its own equity and is the issuer of BlackRock's on-chain treasury fund BUIDL. Roche stated that his professional focus is precisely at the "intersection of compliance regulation and technological innovation."
