According to Bitcoin.com, the market capitalization of the privacy coin sector has increased from $11.97 billion to $36.51 billion over the past five months, a rise of $24.54 billion, representing an increase of approximately 205%. Among these, Zcash (ZEC) saw its market cap increase by $20.27 billion, while Monero (XMR) rose by $4.33 billion. In January, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) concluded its investigation into the Zcash Foundation without recommending any enforcement action. On August 25, digital asset management firm Grayscale converted the Zcash Trust into a ZCSH spot ETF, listing it on NYSE Arca, making it the first publicly listed privacy coin spot ETF in the U.S. On September 8, Digital Currency Group (DCG) exchanged approximately $100 million worth of ZEC for shares in the ZCSH ETF. During the same period, the price of ZEC rose from $319 to $1,507, while XMR increased from $330 to $555.
