On July 30, according to CCTV, Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) held a meeting on the day regarding the failed launch of the H3 Rocket No. 8 last year. The final report adopted at the meeting pointed out that the main cause of the launch failure was a gap caused by internal peeling in the base of the rocket's satellite payload, which expanded during flight and led to base damage. The report was compiled by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). It stated that shortly after the start of the satellite fairing separation, the base carrying the satellite sustained damage. The investigation determined that the main reason for the base damage was internal peeling during the manufacturing process, and the gap widened under the impact of the fairing separation. The report suggests that risks of such peeling can be avoided in the future by using resin filling or fastener connections. Japan launched the H3 Rocket No. 8 on December 22, 2025. The second-stage engine of the rocket stopped burning prematurely, and the satellite it carried failed to enter the预定 orbit, resulting in a mission failure.
