Hong Kong-listed Moon raises $8.8 million, plans to launch Bitcoin prepaid cards in Thailand and South Korea

Hong Kong-listed company Moon Inc. (HKEx code: 1723) raised approximately $8.8 million and plans to launch Bitcoin prepaid cards in Thailand and South Korea, with plans to expand across Asia. This round of financing is supported by multiple Bitcoin miners and investors through the issuance of new shares and convertible bonds.

According to documents submitted to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the funds raised will be used to support Moon Inc.'s pan-Asian expansion plans, starting with Thailand and South Korea, while also introducing Bitcoin-supported prepaid cards.

These prepaid cards allow users to purchase, store, and transfer Bitcoin without the need for complex traditional wallet setups, combining Moon Inc.'s prepaid telecommunications expertise with innovative digital asset capabilities.
