First Oil Tanker Passes Through Hormuz Strait Since US Blockade

According to data released by the ship tracking website vesselfinder on April 17, a tanker flying the Pakistani flag has entered the Persian Gulf, becoming the first oil tanker to pass through the Hormuz Strait since the United States implemented a blockade on the 13th. The tanker, named 'Shalamaar', was reported to have sailed south of Iran's Larak Island late on the night of the 16th, entering the Gulf of Oman with approximately 450,000 barrels of crude oil loaded at Das Island in the UAE.
