According to foreign media reports, DeepSeek is set to secure a new round of financing that will elevate the company's valuation to $74 billion. Insiders reveal that DeepSeek is seeking to raise $7.4 billion to support research and development as well as expand its computing infrastructure. This financing round indicates a further increase in valuation compared to the previous round in June. Reports previously indicated that investors, including Tencent, valued DeepSeek at over $50 billion at that time. In the latest financing round, existing shareholders including investment firms Lisi Capital and Shixiang Capital, as well as CATL, will inject new funds into the company. In the previous financing round, DeepSeek required most investors to invest through a limited partnership managed by Liang Wenfeng, but it is reported that in the latest round, the company will allow more investors to invest directly. Sources familiar with DeepSeek's financial situation revealed that the company's annual recurring revenue (ARR) has reached $500 million.
