According to foreign media reports, DeepSeek is set to secure a new round of financing that will raise the company's valuation to $74 billion. Sources indicate that DeepSeek is seeking $7.4 billion in funding to support research and development as well as to expand its computing infrastructure. This financing round signifies an increase in valuation compared to the previous round in June. Reports previously indicated that investors, including Tencent, valued DeepSeek at over $50 billion at that time. In the latest financing round, existing shareholders, including investment firms Lisi Capital and Shixiang Capital, as well as CATL, will inject new funds into the company. In the previous financing round, DeepSeek required most investors to invest through a limited partnership managed by Liang Wenfeng, but it is reported that in the latest round, the company will allow more investors to invest directly. Individuals familiar with DeepSeek's financial status revealed that the company's annual recurring revenue (ARR) has reached $500 million.
