    On September 28, China and the United States reached a consensus on the $30 billion reciprocal tariff reduction framework under the Trade Council framework. Both sides agreed to provide reduced tariff treatment on approximately $30 billion worth of imported products, based on compliance with each country's domestic laws and procedures. More than 90% of the products will be exempt from all additional tariffs imposed on each other, enjoying Most-Favored-Nation tariff treatment. The two sides have established a list of products for reciprocal tariff reduction based on their respective market needs and industrial interests. The U.S. will reduce tariffs on approximately $30 billion worth of imports from China, including toys, home appliances, baby products, kitchen and bathroom supplies, and holiday gifts. China will reduce tariffs on approximately $30 billion worth of imports from the U.S., including agricultural products, personal care items, medical devices, and coal. Both sides have agreed to jointly announce their respective lists of tariff-reduced products. Subsequently, both parties will implement the tariff reductions simultaneously after fulfilling their respective domestic legal procedures. This arrangement will help stabilize China-U.S. trade, create favorable conditions for China's exports of related products to the U.S., and also meet domestic market demands, strengthening trade cooperation in areas such as agricultural products, energy, manufactured goods, and consumer products.
