On July 14, BofA's latest report indicated that the market is overly optimistic about the expansion commitments of South Korean memory giants. Regarding the slogan 'double capacity by 2030' shouted by South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, BofA estimated that, after accounting for capacity losses due to the closure of old plants for technology upgrades and the transition to more advanced processes, the actual annual expansion rate will be below 10%, and by 2030 it will be far from the doubling level.
