Analyst: Bitcoin Returns Above Strategy 2026 Cost Line, Positions Still at a Loss Since 2025

On October 29, analyst Darkfost stated that Strategy currently holds 848,517 BTC, with an overall average purchase cost of approximately $75,446. The price of Bitcoin has recently climbed back above its 2026 holding cost line of about $78,900; however, when accounting for all purchases since 2025 and sales at this summer's lows, the estimated cost remains around $90,600, which is higher than the current BTC price. Darkfost noted that Strategy has resumed purchasing BTC after a pause of several weeks, but did not make any new purchases last week, meaning that the new positions added since 2025 have yet to realize an overall profit.
