US Military Spending on Iran War May Reach $100 Billion

On July 16, according to information from the US on July 15, an internal assessment from the Department of Defense indicates that the actual spending by the US on military operations against Iran could reach as high as $100 billion, far exceeding the previously reported figure of about $30 billion. The significant discrepancy is primarily due to the fact that the earlier official estimates did not include undisclosed operational costs, losses of advanced aircraft, and the severe damage costs to US military facilities in the Middle East.
