On July 29, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. would deliver a strong response after the U.S. military intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile attack on Jordan that evening. In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday morning local time, Trump said, 'We will hit them very hard... We will strike them forcefully, and they will suffer a heavy blow.' Trump noted that the U.S. military had only a few minutes to respond to the sudden attack and successfully intercepted all incoming missiles before they could hit their targets. He said he watched a video of the interception operation, which showed U.S. personnel reporting missile coordinates in real-time during the interception. Trump also stated that the U.S. military's night-time strikes against Iran-backed Iraqi Shiite militia groups, carried out in coordination with Saudi Arabia, were conducted after consultation with the Iraqi government. He described these militia groups as 'a cancer on the world' and said the U.S. is considering further warnings to Iranian proxy forces. (Jin Shi)

Meta's Future Data Center Lease Commitments Surge to $279 Billion, Fully Betting on AI Computing Infrastructure
On July 29, U.S. tech giant Meta Platforms Inc. (META) disclosed in its latest regulatory filing that to support its rapid expansion in the artificial intelligence (AI) field, the company's future data center lease commitments have surged significantly. As of June 30, Meta's total unfulfilled lease commitments reached $279 billion, a sharp 53% increase from $183 billion in the previous quarter, indicating a marked acceleration in its investment pace in AI infrastructure. Meta noted in the filing that these future expenditures, not yet reflected on the balance sheet, primarily involve the construction and operation of data centers, hosting facilities, and specific network infrastructure. In July alone, Meta added as much as $68 billion in new lease commitments, with these contracts expected to begin execution in 2027 and 2028. Behind this massive lease commitment is Meta's 'arms race' to seize the AI track. With the explosive growth in computing power demand for AI model training and inference, global tech giants are locking in data center resources at an unprecedented scale. Data shows that leading companies including Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Oracle now have a combined total of over $850 billion in future data center lease commitments to fulfill. -

On July 30, Unitree Technology disclosed in its prospectus for the initial public offering of shares and listing on the STAR Market that the company's senior management and core employees intend to participate in the strategic placement of this issuance through asset management plans, namely Unitree Technology Employee No.1 Asset Management Plan and Unitree Technology Employee No.2 Asset Management Plan. The number of shares to be subscribed in the strategic placement shall not exceed 10% of the total issuance size, i.e., 4,044,643 shares. Meanwhile, the total subscription amount shall not exceed 271.5 million yuan, with the final number of shares for the strategic placement to be determined after the issuance price is set.
