On July 6, renowned venture capitalist Tim Draper stated that his investment philosophy has always been to bet on innovative projects that the market has yet to reach a consensus on. He recalled that Draper Associates was one of the earliest external investors in SpaceX, and after their investment, the first two rocket launches of SpaceX ended in failure. However, with the success of the third launch, the company ultimately attracted a large number of customers with launch costs far lower than NASA's, growing into a business valued at over $2 trillion. Regarding AI, Draper mentioned that although xAI lags behind competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic in market share and corporate adoption, he remains more optimistic about xAI, believing it focuses more on providing accurate information rather than catering to users. He anticipates that the AI industry will undergo a reshuffling similar to that after the internet bubble, with true industry giants potentially emerging after the next round of adjustments. Draper believes that innovation requires a free entrepreneurial environment, stating that the United States and Singapore remain the most attractive destinations for startups today.
