U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick once again criticized Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell in an interview with CNBC, accusing him of keeping interest rates too high.
Lutnick stated, "Interest rates should be lower, Jay Powell acted too late, he may be too afraid—too afraid to lead the world's largest $30 trillion economy. We should be proactive, not timid, as if something bad has happened. We are doing well, greatness is happening. Our GDP grew by 4%."
At the same time, he also predicted that the economic growth rate during Trump's administration would reach 6%. "Lower interest rates, reduce energy consumption, and economic growth can be achieved, which can save America."
