according to Bitcoin News, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is publicly soliciting new members for its Investor Advisory Committee. Established under Section 911 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the committee is primarily responsible for providing advice to the SEC on regulatory priorities, securities products, trading strategies, and other aspects. SEC Acting Chairman Mark T. Uyeda stated that diverse investor perspectives will help the SEC better fulfill its mission. Applicants must submit their applications via email by March 15, 2025. It is worth noting that since Uyeda took over as Acting Chairman from Gary Gensler, there has been a shift in the SEC's regulatory stance on cryptocurrencies, with Commissioner Hester Peirce currently leading a new working group dedicated to revising digital asset regulations.
