the Astar community has released a proposal to "reactivate Astar's Coretime automatic renewal". The proposal includes initiating XCM calls to the Coretime system chain on Polkadot through Astar, reactivating the automatic Coretime renewal mechanism. Once in effect, AstarCore38 will achieve automatic renewal every 28 days, ensuring the continuous operation of the network without the need for manual or governance-driven renewal operations. Currently, there are approximately 300 DOT in the Astar sovereign account, and this reserve will be optimally used at the current rate, providing approximately 2 years of security.

The benchmark KOSPI index surged up to 14%, marking the largest single-day intraday gain in history. Foreign media analysis attributed the surge to SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won's rare direct purchase of the company's shares, which sent SK Hynix shares soaring as much as 28% in early trading; memory chip peer Samsung Electronics also rose 26%. The KOSPI index had plunged a cumulative 17% over the previous three trading sessions, mainly due to concerns over rising debt levels among global big tech companies.
