On July 7, according to Bitcoin Magazine, Tether plans to natively issue USDT on Bitcoin using the RGB protocol v0.11.1, commercialized by UTEXO. This means that USDT may return to the Bitcoin network, where it was originally issued in 2014 through Omni-Mastercoin. RGB will enable users to send and receive USDT between Bitcoin addresses and compatible wallets. UTEXO expects the related features to be launched as early as July, with wallets like TetherWallet and several exchanges gradually supporting it.
