On August 12, according to official sources, stablecoin payment company Rain announced the acquisition of payment platform Ansa, which is built for branded stored value and closed-loop payments. After Ansa is integrated into Rain, combined with Rain's qualifications as a Mastercard principal member and Visa card issuer, partners will be able to extend stored-value balances beyond a single merchant and use them at merchants across the Visa and Mastercard networks. Rain also stated that it is advancing the direction of agent payments, having already provided AI agents with limited-scope cards that have budget constraints.
