Shengshu Technology Raises $500 Million, Setting Record for Largest Single Financing in China's General World Model Sector

According to monitoring by Dongcha Beating, Shengshu Technology recently completed a new round of financing amounting to $500 million, setting a record for the largest single financing in the domestic general world model sector in China. The funds will be used for model research and technological innovation. Shengshu Technology was established in March 2023 and has already laid the groundwork for foundational models in three major areas: multimodal generation, real-time interaction, and actions in the physical world. In the areas of multimodal generation and real-time interaction, the video generation model Vidu Q series has deeply penetrated professional content production systems in fields such as comics, short dramas, advertising, e-commerce, animation, and film. The recently released real-time interaction model Vidu S1 has achieved voice-controlled video generation, supporting real-time generation of unlimited duration with 540P resolution and 25FPS frame rate, with a maximum frame rate of 42FPS. It also supports customizable character images and voice tones, enabling efficient inference on consumer-grade graphics cards. In the area of actions in the physical world, Shengshu Technology open-sourced the world's first unified world model for 'perception, prediction, and action' called Motus in December 2025, and launched the robot control model Motubrain in April 2026, achieving a state-of-the-art average success rate of 95.8% on the embodied intelligence benchmark RoboTwin 2.0, continuing to deepen its focus on the general brain for embodied intelligent robots.

On October 29, Al Jazeera reported, citing Reuters, that Iran has established a vast global network of institutions to import military equipment worth at least $2 billion while circumventing U.S. Navy blockades and Western sanctions. Some of these institutions are linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, while others belong to commercial conglomerates controlled by Iran's elite, known as 'bonyads' (various foundations/business groups). • ECB Holds Rates Steady, December Rate Hike Expectations Rise

On October 29, the European Central Bank (ECB) kept its interest rates unchanged at 2.5%, in line with market expectations. Meanwhile, the news of President Lagarde's early departure has intensified market concerns over energy costs and the situation in France. In terms of interest rate policy, the ECB has chosen to adopt a wait-and-see approach. Since the impact of the Iran war on the energy market, the ECB has raised rates twice. Officials are worried that inflation could rise to twice the 2% target, but so far, there are no signs of rising oil and gas prices spreading to other sectors. At the same time, the previously unexpectedly resilient growth momentum of the European economy is weakening. The market widely expects that policymakers will raise rates again in December. At that time, the ECB will release its latest economic forecasts to assess the severity of inflation pressures. The situation in France has further tightened the financial environment, which is suppressing demand. Analysts expect that the year-end rate hike will be the last of this round of tightening by the ECB. However, investors are betting on two more rate hikes by 2027.
