On July 7, Charu Chanana, Chief Investment Strategist at Saxo Bank, stated that after a historic surge in recent times, investors' demands for Samsung Electronics go beyond just robust earnings. She noted that after a nearly 150% increase so far this year, investors require confident performance guidance, sustained pricing power, and evidence of accelerating AI demand. A key concern for Samsung is whether today's bottleneck in memory chips will turn into a risk of oversupply tomorrow. She added that investors will be watching Samsung's complete second-quarter results, which are set to be released later this month. If the performance guidance suggests a slowdown in price increases, increased capital expenditures, cautious customer attitudes, or diminished visibility, they may begin to view memory chips as a late-cycle trade rather than an early-cycle growth story.
