Owner of DOGE Meme Shiba Inu Clarifies: CATE Token Unrelated, Only Endorses DOG and COCORO Projects

On July 28, Atsuko Sato, owner of the Doge meme Shiba Inu Kabosu, issued a statement clarifying that a series of CATE tokens circulating in the market recently have no connection to her. She stated that she had only posted a story on Instagram, but the content was subsequently used without authorization by others to issue fake tokens, creating a false impression of association. She expressed regret over this and pointed out that among the accounts spreading related information were even some users with significant influence on the X platform. She emphasized that the only project officially authorized to manage her intellectual property is Own The Doge. She explained that Own The Doge acquired the Doge NFT in 2021 and launched the DOG token, while also organizing Doge Day events, supporting charitable causes, and managing her intellectual property. In 2025, the two parties collaborated to launch the COCORO token on the Base network. She stated that the proceeds from these projects will be used to care for her pet family members and support the animal protection charity activities carried out by withkabosu. She called on the public to rely on official information and to be vigilant against any unauthorized projects or tokens issued under her name, avoiding mistakenly trusting crypto asset projects unrelated to her.
