On September 9, Eastern Time, September 8, the U.S. National Security Agency, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and Federal Bureau of Investigation jointly issued a statement accusing Chinese AI companies of conducting "industrial-scale" distillation to acquire advanced model capabilities from the U.S. and suggested related defensive measures to American companies. In response, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce stated that China is willing to engage in constructive and professional discussions with the U.S. based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation. However, if the U.S. takes actions to suppress Chinese AI companies under the guise of combating distillation, China will resolutely take countermeasures. It is hoped that the U.S. will work with China to manage risks through dialogue and communication, promoting the benefits of the AI industry globally. (Ministry of Commerce)
