On September 14, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) signed a memorandum of understanding with blockchain security company CertiK, officially establishing a long-term strategic partnership. The two parties will collaborate in areas such as digital som security, digital asset regulation, and cybersecurity. According to the memorandum, they will explore technical and experiential exchanges in blockchain and digital asset security, security assessments, formal verification, cybersecurity, and operational resilience. CertiK will leverage its capabilities in digital asset security and risk management to provide technical and strategic support to the NBKR and explore the deployment of CertiK Supervision and CertiK Compliance solutions to enhance ongoing risk monitoring and regulation. Additionally, both parties will engage in regulatory consulting and professional training related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT), digital asset custody, security standards, and licensing requirements. CertiK stated that this collaboration marks the further application of its security technology capabilities within central banks and stringent regulatory environments, providing a reference for future collaborations with other central banks and regulatory bodies.
