Hong Kong's Official Foreign Exchange Reserves Increased by $4.4 Billion at the End of May

On June 5, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced that Hong Kong's official foreign exchange reserves amounted to $446.5 billion at the end of May 2026, up from $442.1 billion at the end of April 2026. This is more than five times the currency in circulation in Hong Kong, or about 38% of the Hong Kong dollar money supply M3.
