On October 7, the Financial Times reported that Hyperliquid Labs has confirmed its headquarters is located in Singapore, with company documents showing Singapore as the registered headquarters. Recent job postings also indicate that the company has an office in the area. However, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) does not consider Hyperliquid to fall under its regulatory jurisdiction, with insiders stating that MAS views it as having a 'decentralized' nature. MAS also mentioned that it is unclear whether Hyperliquid is regulated by any major jurisdiction. Hyperliquid Labs stated that it is currently unregulated and has never claimed to have obtained MAS approval or authorization. Hyperliquid is known for its high-leverage perpetual contracts, with products supporting trading in cryptocurrencies, oil, and stocks.
