European stocks have seen an expanded decline, with the French CAC 40 index dropping 2%, the Euro Stoxx 50 index falling nearly 2%, the German DAX index down 1.6%, and the UK FTSE 100 index decreasing by 1.2%. The Euro Stoxx 600 index fell 1.5%, marking its largest drop in two months. Meanwhile, the yield on the US 2-year Treasury note rose to 4.42%, the highest level since July 2024.
