According to monitoring by Beating, Anthropic has released a batch of creative tool connectors that allow Claude to directly control professional software used by designers and musicians. The first batch of eight connectors covers four areas: 3D modeling, visual design, music production, and live performance, with partners including Blender, Adobe, Autodesk, Ableton, Splice, Affinity by Canva, Resolume, and SketchUp. The specific capabilities vary. The Adobe connector integrates over 50 tools under Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premiere, and Express; Autodesk Fusion allows for the creation and modification of 3D models using natural language; the Blender connector is developed by the official Blender team and is based on the MCP protocol, allowing other large models to access it; the Ableton connector connects to the official documentation for Live and Push; Splice enables musicians to directly search royalty-free sample libraries within Claude's dialogue; and the Resolume connector allows for real-time control of VJ performance visuals using natural language. Additionally, Anthropic has joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron, committing at least €240,000 (approximately $281,000) annually, alongside sponsors such as Netflix, Epic, and Wacom. Furthermore, Anthropic is collaborating with three institutions: the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), the Ringling College of Art and Design, and Goldsmiths, University of London, to offer AI creative courses.
