As of the end of September, China's gold reserves stood at 77.47 million ounces (approximately 2409.59 tons), an increase of 740,000 ounces (about 23.02 tons) from the end of August, which reported 76.73 million ounces (approximately 2386.57 tons). The People's Bank of China has increased its gold reserves for the 23rd consecutive month.
