On September 12, Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research and ex-girlfriend of SBF, joined the nonprofit charity organization Manifund, where she will be responsible for developing its funding platform and participating in charitable projects. Austin Chen, co-founder of Manifund, stated that Ellison has been working in a trial capacity since July of this year and officially became a full-time employee in August, publishing related work under the pseudonym "Carol." Chen expressed a desire to give Ellison a "second chance," noting that she has acknowledged her mistakes, assisted in compensating creditor losses, and is serving her sentence. In December 2022, Ellison pleaded guilty to fraud and conspiracy charges related to the collapse of FTX and testified against FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried during the trial. She was originally sentenced to two years in prison, set to begin in November 2024, and is expected to be released early in January 2026. Manifund primarily focuses on artificial intelligence safety and effective altruism projects. Ellison expressed gratitude to Chen for giving her a "second chance" and stated that she is fortunate to work at an organization that aligns with its mission.

Engaging in virtual currency-related businesses within the country is considered illegal financial activity and will be banned by law; foreign institutions are prohibited from illegally providing virtual currency services to domestic entities, and without permission, they cannot issue stablecoins pegged to the Renminbi abroad. The central bank advises the public to be cautious of virtual currency projects that claim high returns and guaranteed profits; do not participate in virtual currency trading, mining, or investment; refrain from joining cryptocurrency trading groups or visiting foreign trading platforms; do not lend bank cards or payment accounts, and refuse to act as currency dealers, U dealers, or fund runners. Any discovery of related illegal activities can be reported to regulatory authorities. -
