On April 8, blockchain infrastructure company Biconomy announced the launch of "ERC-8211: Smart Batching" in collaboration with the Ethereum Foundation. This is an on-chain execution standard designed to address the "static limitations" in current smart contract executions, providing a more expressive execution layer for AI agents and complex DeFi workflows. Current batch executions, such as ERC-4337, are typically static, with parameters frozen at the time of signing. The ERC-8211 introduces the concept of "Smart Batching," supporting runtime resolution and constraint-validated execution. This means that AI agents can dynamically adjust parameters at the moment of execution based on real-time on-chain states, such as slippage, balances, and oracle prices.
