On April 16, the Baltic Dry Bulk Freight Index rose for the 10th consecutive trading day, with all vessel types experiencing increases. The index climbed 39 points, or 1.6%, to 2523 points, marking the highest level since early December 2025. The Capesize vessel index increased by 62 points, or approximately 1.6%, to 4026 points, reaching a peak not seen in over four months. Daily earnings for Capesize vessels rose by $562 to $33,012. The Panamax vessel index increased by 22 points, or about 1.1%, to 1970 points, the highest level since early March. This index has risen for 11 consecutive trading days. Daily earnings for Panamax vessels increased by $202 to $17,730. The Supramax vessel index rose by 27 points, or 1.97%, to 1398 points. The Handysize vessel index increased by 15 points to 730 points.
