An offline U merchant made a profit of more than 6,000 yuan by taking a cut of U coins in telecommunications network fraud transactions and was detained by the police in accordance with the law

According to the Shandong Public Security Bureau, a man from Liaoning named Qu became an offline U-coin merchant after posting job-seeking information online. He would charge a 3% commission on each transaction and take it from the cash received. In September, he was arrested and 217,000 yuan of stolen money was confiscated. Upon investigation, Qu confessed to committing two U-coin trading crimes this year, earning 217,000 yuan in cash and making a profit of more than 6,000 yuan. His role as an U-coin merchant was just a cover-up, and he was actually taking money from victims of telecom network fraud who were referred to as "customers." Qu has been criminally detained by the police and the case is under further investigation.
