zkMeta and Polygon Collaborate To Explore Layer2 New Ecosystem in the Vertical Gaming Field

Cointime Official

On the 24th of Marchx, Polygon announced that the zkMeta team will establish a GameFi-specific zk-rollup on the Polygon network, and use Polygon zkEVM, Supernet and other technologies to provide optimal infrastructure for high-DAU gaming projects. In addition to the game-specific L2 network, zkMeta also proposes six Web3 game project development toolkits, including MetaID, NFT Toolbox, CheckStand, TradePlace, MetaDAO, and Tournament, to help game developers deploy games with high playability and high-frequency interaction.

As a leading TCG (trading-card game), Era7: Game of Truth will become the first Web3 game to benefit from Polygon ZK technology on zkMeta. It is reported that this solution can significantly reduce the gas fees required for user interactions and optimize interaction speed. It can fundamentally enhance the user experience in mystery box opening, card summoning/generation, and competitive systems, among other aspects. The Era7 team has completed the first phase of compatibility testing and will refactor some game interaction logic and deploy NFT contracts to the zkMeta testnet in the next step.

  • US Considers Easing Sanctions on Shadow Fleet to Lower Shipping Rates

On October 15, a US official stated on Wednesday that the Trump administration is considering easing sanctions on vessels known as the 'shadow fleet.' These ships have previously transported oil and petroleum products from countries such as Russia, Iran, and Venezuela. This move aims to reduce the currently historically high global shipping rates. Shortly before this, President Trump had temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian diesel, a decision that drew strong criticism from Ukrainian President Zelensky, several European governments, and some Republican senators. The US official revealed that current discussions focus on whether the US will allow previously sanctioned vessels to transport 'legitimate oil.' Here, 'legitimate oil' refers to crude oil or petroleum products not subject to US sanctions, rather than oil from Russia and Iran that is under sanctions. The official stated that this move aims to facilitate the export of more refined products and crude oil from the Gulf region.
