Platypus Releases Compensation Page for Users to Check Loss Value From Recent Exploit

Cointime Official

Platypus Finance has released a page where users can check their loss value and expected compensation for first claim, according to the latest blog post from Platypus.

The page is only applicable to direct LPs of Platypus. Platypus partners include Vector, Echidna, and Yield Yak will handle refunds with their LPs after first compensation.

On February 16, the DeFi platform Platypus fell victim to an attack wherein the attackers leveraged flash loans on the Avalanche blockchain to exploit the project for $9 million.

Following the attack, Platypus was able to recover $2.4 million of the stolen funds directly. The company had previously announced its intention to return 63% of the stolen funds to its users. Additionally, the firm has stated that if external efforts are successful, it could potentially recover as much as 78% of the user funds.

"We're working hard to recover the remaining funds. As soon as we retrieve any funds, we'll distribute them to LPs via the compensation page. " Platypus stated.
