Validated Project

2023 SINO-METAVERSE(XIAMEN) EXPO was successfully held from May 19th to 21st, 2023 at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. With the theme of "Coexist digitalization and reality to create the future," the expo was organized by Sinomach, which has an exhibition area of nearly 7,000 square meters with 100 exhibitors, attracting more than 10,000 visitors.

This exhibition focused on five aspects of metaverse: audiovisual experience, cutting-edge technology, digital value system, industrial applications, and cutting-edge policies. It concentrated on showcasing innovative achievements in the field of metaverse infrastructure, core technologies, and service applications and aimed to create an internationally leading exchange platform for metaverse industry.

2023 SINO-METAVERSE(XIAMEN) EXPO brought together many well-known domestic and foreign metaverse companies and research institutes, covering fields such as metaverse digital assets, avatars, spatial interaction, immersive devices, digital twin, and infrastructure. Exhibitors included Lenovo, Alibaba Cloud, Migu Xinkong, Amazon Web Services, iPollo, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and China Unicom. Many outstanding companies joined together to promote industry progress and the development of China's digital economy!

iPollo's booth also attracted many visitors, and the staff warmly introduced iPollo. iPollo is a GPU-intensive elastic computing network that supports Web3 large-scale applications. It is compatible with EVM and integrates and optimizes data transmission with 6G communication technology, enabling iPollo to fully support the massive computing power requirements of next-generation Web3 applications such as Metaverse real-time rendering, AIGC, AR/VR, etc.

During the exhibition, five thematic forums were also held, including metaverse industry development, digital culture and tourism, digital China, and digital film and television. Leaders, guests, and experts from national, provincial, and municipal departments and various fields were widely invited to create a professional platform for technology exchange, commercial promotion, market development, and brand shaping for the metaverse industry, further strengthening the expo's strong function as an industry exchange.

iPollo Chief Scientist, Marvin Kong, gave a speech on the topic of "Web3 Elastic Computing Network." By analyzing the development of blockchain-based decentralized networks entering the 3.0 Era, he pointed out that now is the time to upgrade the dynamic interaction between traditional producers and consumers to promote communication and spatial interaction through intelligent contracts between AIs. At the same time, he also mentioned that in the process of exploring Web3 applications, iPollo platform greatly reduces the threshold for metaverse development through its unique elastic computing network and technology ecosystem. Progressive rendering brings more realistic visual effects, making the metaverse more immersive.

  • US Considers Easing Sanctions on Shadow Fleet to Lower Shipping Rates

On October 15, a US official stated on Wednesday that the Trump administration is considering easing sanctions on vessels known as the 'shadow fleet.' These ships have previously transported oil and petroleum products from countries such as Russia, Iran, and Venezuela. This move aims to reduce the currently historically high global shipping rates. Shortly before this, President Trump had temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian diesel, a decision that drew strong criticism from Ukrainian President Zelensky, several European governments, and some Republican senators. The US official revealed that current discussions focus on whether the US will allow previously sanctioned vessels to transport 'legitimate oil.' Here, 'legitimate oil' refers to crude oil or petroleum products not subject to US sanctions, rather than oil from Russia and Iran that is under sanctions. The official stated that this move aims to facilitate the export of more refined products and crude oil from the Gulf region.
