How does BRVOS envision the future of SocialFi?

On Oct 10th, 2023 at 11:00 (UTC), BRVOS team joined the PMG’s Discord Server to connect with their community and answer questions related to BRCLife’s recent major development updates, tech, progress on the journey so far, and the plans moving forward.

This live AMA is exclusive because there is also a live question session for PMG community to win the prize pool of $100.

Whether you were unable to attend the live event or just want to review the highlights, this recap will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the key takeaways from the AMA.

Part 1: Introduction to BRVOS and BRCLife

BRCLife is built on the revolutionary Web3 operating system, BRVOS, and serves as the gateway to privacy communication, Web3 games, and SocialFi. BRCLife has realized a decentralized, untraceable, and tamper-proof global communication network. Leveraging the powerful computing, storage, and cross-chain capabilities provided by BRVOS, BRCLife fully supports the development of decentralized identities (DID), NFTs, social network, and privacy communication.

Part 2: General Questions

1. Why is BRCLife considered an innovation in SocialFi space?

Before addressing this question, let me introduce BRVOS. BRVOS is a blockchain-based Web3 operating system designed to provide users with a user-friendly Web3 experience and support various applications. It contributes to the future of Web3 by providing solutions to challenges faced by DApps, such as fragmented user experiences, limited interoperability, high transaction costs, limited use cases and innovation, and weakened network effects.

Built on top of BRVOS, BRCLife realizes decentralized SocialFi. Currently, social media platforms generate revenue primarily through advertising and user data, and users often do not directly benefit economically from their social activities. The vision of BRCLife is to return value to users through blockchain and cryptocurrency technology. Users can earn cryptocurrency rewards by participating in social media activities such as content creation, interactions, and sharing. This allows users to derive economic benefits from their social activities and have better control over their data and privacy.

2. Can you explain how BRVOS achieves interoperability between different DApps?

BRVOS achieves interoperability between different DApps by supporting cross-chain bridges. These bridges establish connections and interoperability between blockchain networks, allowing users to seamlessly transfer assets and data without considering the underlying blockchain technology. For example, users can use cross-chain bridges to transfer NFTs from Metaverse to BRVOS for SocialFi.

3. How does BRVOS promote innovation and the development of new use cases?

BRVOS promotes innovation and the development of new use cases by breaking down barriers to data and funds. Developers can create novel and creative applications that leverage the interoperability between DApps through shared data and funds within the ecosystem. For example, developers can build a DApp that combines elements of SocialFi and the Metaverse to provide users with a unique experience. For more information on our technological innovations, you can also refer to our recent publication, “The Prospects of the Web3 OS: How BRVOS Creates a Decentralized Ecosystem?”

4. You mentioned data privacy earlier, how does BRCLife protect user data privacy and security?

Our DApp is currently in the testing phase. If you have used our DApp, you would notice that any actions (social, transactions, games) within this rich ecosystem are anonymous. Here, users have their decentralized identities (DID), aligning with the “anonymous” nature of the blockchain.

In comparison to other products, BRVOS provides a shared wallet and identity management system. Users will have a wallet that can be used across multiple DApps without the need to manage separate wallets for each application. Similarly, the unified identity management system allows users to have a single digital identity that can be recognized and utilized by different DApps. This reduces the risk of funds being lost or stolen due to switching between multiple wallet accounts.

5. How does BRCLife address the issues of fake news and information overload?

Fake news and information overload are indeed global issues, and our development team at BRCLife is highly concerned about these problems. In fact, we have implemented decentralized content verification and recommendation mechanisms and introduced community governance. This helps reduce the spread of fake news and provides more personalized and trustworthy content recommendations. We actively encourage community members to participate in content moderation and collectively maintain the quality of platform content.

6. What is the governance mechanism of BRCLife?

As mentioned earlier, BRCLife adopts a decentralized governance model and operates in a decentralized manner using tokens. It is designed as a community-driven on-chain governance system. Specifically, we employ an indirect democratic approach through referendums and a DAO council for governance. The council is independent of token holders and consists of members elected and delegated by the community. This governance mechanism aims to maintain decentralization of power and legitimacy of decision-making.

7. My final question is about the roadmap for BRVOS. Can you share with us?

We are currently in the first phase of the project, focusing on preparing for the launch of the complete product. We are finalizing the product and building the necessary infrastructure to support user onboarding, transactions, and security.

The marketing team is devising effective marketing strategies and starting their execution, while the operations team is driving community development, encouraging user participation in activities, and collecting feedback. Additionally, we are continuously expanding partnerships to increase the reach of the product. Today, we are here as a first step to enter the Japanese market, sharing product details about BRVOS and BRCLife with PMG and the community users.

In the future, we will work with more local communities and introduce the innovations of BRVOS and BRCLife to a larger Web3 user base. With the collective efforts of the entire team, we hope to have more people join our community and together create a harmonious, healthy, and prosperous ecosystem.

By the way, our Global Ambassador Program is also underway, and if you are interested in participating in the early development of BRVOS and have talents in content creation, community building, and more, we welcome your participation.

  • US Considers Easing Sanctions on Shadow Fleet to Lower Shipping Rates

On October 15, a US official stated on Wednesday that the Trump administration is considering easing sanctions on vessels known as the 'shadow fleet.' These ships have previously transported oil and petroleum products from countries such as Russia, Iran, and Venezuela. This move aims to reduce the currently historically high global shipping rates. Shortly before this, President Trump had temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian diesel, a decision that drew strong criticism from Ukrainian President Zelensky, several European governments, and some Republican senators. The US official revealed that current discussions focus on whether the US will allow previously sanctioned vessels to transport 'legitimate oil.' Here, 'legitimate oil' refers to crude oil or petroleum products not subject to US sanctions, rather than oil from Russia and Iran that is under sanctions. The official stated that this move aims to facilitate the export of more refined products and crude oil from the Gulf region.
