Followin Releases Point System, Kicking Off Season 1 Event OIO Genesis

Followin has officially launched its OIO point system, kicking off the Season 1 event named OIO Genesis, which will run for three months. Users can earn OIO points by participating in activities and completing tasks. Existing users can check out their initial point balance in the Followin App as their past behavioural records have been retained.

OIO tokens serve as vital credentials for tracking and incentivizing user behaviour on Followin. In the future, the platform plans to distribute airdrops based on OIO holdings.

Information overload and fragmentation have become an obstacle to efficiently accessing high-quality information, while tracking KOLs for decision-making is often an essential path to increasing the chance of profiting. Followin aims to build a Web3 investment community encompassing core functions such as content aggregation, content communities, and trading gateways where global Web3 investors gather and the creation and distribution of high-quality content are incentivized, boosting a decentralised ecosystem for discovering high-value Web3 content and connecting investors with investment opportunities.

Followin's AI-based information aggregation feature has been live for more than 1 year, with over 500,000 users worldwide, spanning regions like Taiwan, Vietnam, North America, and more. However, to build an authentic community with content and KOLs at its core, innovative tokenomics is essential. Through token circulation, Followin enables creators to gain "economic incentives, reputation incentives, and interactive satisfaction," while users enjoy "high-quality content, emotional connections, and platform expectations," fostering better connections between individuals and investment opportunities, as well as among investors themselves

As a pioneering mechanism of the overall economic model, the OIO point system will be rolled out in multiple phases, playing a crucial role in driving and accelerating Followin's transition from a content aggregation platform to the next phase of a content investment community.

How to Earn OIO Points?

Users participating in the event can earn OIO points through 6 activities:

1.Connect Wallet

Connect a cryptocurrency wallet within the app to earn 20 OIO points(1-time reward).

2.Add to Favourites

Add a project to the favourites list to earn 10 OIO points (1-time reward).

3.Link Twitter Account

Connect a Twitter account within the app to earn 10 OIO points (1-time reward).

4.Invite Friends

Invite friends to register using the referral link and complete their initial app login to earn 50 OIO points (unlimited).

5.Share articles

Share an article with your friends, and if the shared article link receives user clicks within the following day (T+1), you'll earn 10 OIO points (once per day).

6.Read articles

Read 10 articles on the APP to earn 10 OIO points (once per day).

Followin keeps a complete record of user referral actions and establishes a referral incentive system. Inviters can earn additional OIO rewards when their invitees finish tasks to get OIOs: direct invites earn an extra 20%, and indirect invites earn an extra 5%.

For example, if Alice registers through Bob's referral link and earns 100 points after completing tasks, Bob can earn an additional 20 points as a direct referral reward. If Alice then invites Tom to register and Tom earns 100 points for task completion, Alice can earn an additional 20 points as a direct referral reward, and Bob can earn an additional 5 points as an indirect referral reward. Therefore, Bob receives a total of 25 additional points, while Alice receives 20 additional points.

  • US Considers Easing Sanctions on Shadow Fleet to Lower Shipping Rates

On October 15, a US official stated on Wednesday that the Trump administration is considering easing sanctions on vessels known as the 'shadow fleet.' These ships have previously transported oil and petroleum products from countries such as Russia, Iran, and Venezuela. This move aims to reduce the currently historically high global shipping rates. Shortly before this, President Trump had temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian diesel, a decision that drew strong criticism from Ukrainian President Zelensky, several European governments, and some Republican senators. The US official revealed that current discussions focus on whether the US will allow previously sanctioned vessels to transport 'legitimate oil.' Here, 'legitimate oil' refers to crude oil or petroleum products not subject to US sanctions, rather than oil from Russia and Iran that is under sanctions. The official stated that this move aims to facilitate the export of more refined products and crude oil from the Gulf region.
