Coinbase's BuildonBase Testnet Sees 18,000+ Developers Release 55,000+ Smart Contracts in First Week

According to Coinbase, over 18,000 developers released more than 55,000 smart contract deployments on the BuildonBase testnet within its first week, indicating that it is valuable to builders from the beginning.

Additionally, Coinbase collaborated with Zora on the "Base, Introduced" non-fungible token (NFT), which had 485,000 mints in the first week, making it the largest open edition ever. The BuildonBase community has grown rapidly, with over 18,000 followers on Twitter, Discord, and Mirror channels.

We recently launched the @BuildonBase testnet, a new L2 blockchain incubated by Coinbase that offers a secure, low-cost, developer-friendly way to build decentralized apps, or ‘dapps’. So, how are things going so far?
2/ 18,000+ developers released 55,000+ smart contract deployments on @BuildonBase testnet in its first week, a great signal that this is valuable to builders from the get-go.
