608 Labs Raises $22 Million From Investors

Cointime Official

608 Labs is a well known company in CT which develops cutting-edge technologies for the next generation of the internet. They build tools and platforms that help enable businesses to operate on the web 3.0 platform, making it a more secure and decentralized space. However, Feb 17th, they issued a statement to their following that they were raising capital.

Mikkel and Luca started reaching out to potential investors, but they were met with skepticism at first. Many investors were hesitant to invest in a company that was focused on such a new and untested area of technology. However, Mikkel and Luca didn't let that discourage them. They knew they had a solid plan and the necessary skills to execute it.

Their breakthrough came when they met with the team at Animoca Brands, which was just as passionate about web 3 development as they were. Animoca Brands had already made several successful investments in the field and saw the potential in Mikkel and Luca's plan. With their first contribution, Mikkel and Luca were able to start expanding their company 608 Labs.

As word of their innovative idea spread, more investors started to take notice. They were impressed with the progress that 608 Labs had made and the potential of the company. One by one, investors started to pour in money, and before they knew it, Mikkel and Luca had raised $22 million dollars from several investors, including Ryan Caroson, past FTX member, and Mario Luttz leading COO at Mexc Exchange.

608 Labs Statement:This capital will allow us to expand our team of talented developers and engineers who works tirelessly to bring our vision to life. We created tools and technologies which enables businesses to operate on the web 3.0 platform, making it a more secure and decentralized space.

  • US Considers Easing Sanctions on Shadow Fleet to Lower Shipping Rates

On October 15, a US official stated on Wednesday that the Trump administration is considering easing sanctions on vessels known as the 'shadow fleet.' These ships have previously transported oil and petroleum products from countries such as Russia, Iran, and Venezuela. This move aims to reduce the currently historically high global shipping rates. Shortly before this, President Trump had temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian diesel, a decision that drew strong criticism from Ukrainian President Zelensky, several European governments, and some Republican senators. The US official revealed that current discussions focus on whether the US will allow previously sanctioned vessels to transport 'legitimate oil.' Here, 'legitimate oil' refers to crude oil or petroleum products not subject to US sanctions, rather than oil from Russia and Iran that is under sanctions. The official stated that this move aims to facilitate the export of more refined products and crude oil from the Gulf region.
