On October 4, U.S. President Trump stated: Following the historic White House Superintelligence Agreement, the world's leading technology companies have come together to reaffirm their responsibility to the American people. I announce the establishment of the 'Superintelligence Task Force' (SIF), which will coordinate relevant federal efforts to ensure that the United States remains a leader in the field of superintelligence. Many say that superintelligence is more significant than the Industrial Revolution and the Internet; it will protect the interests of all Americans and improve their lives. The Superintelligence Task Force will facilitate communication between the federal government and consumers, public interest groups, religious organizations, critical infrastructure providers, and superintelligence companies. It will be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering and Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael, and Director of the Office of Personnel Management Scott Cooper, reporting to the President of the United States (that’s me) and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
